The Role

We’re looking for an AI Engineer who is more than “just an engineer.” You will own significant pieces of our agent platform end-to-end: from turning vague product needs into concrete technical plans, to building, shipping, measuring, and iterating on production AI systems.This is a high-ownership role. You will design AI behaviors, write production code, analyze real usage data, and make product decisions that directly impact customers. If you enjoy both deep technical work and shaping what gets built, this will be an excellent fit.

What You’ll Work On

• Design and implement multi-step AI workflows (reasoning, tool use, planning, memory, iteration)

• Break down high-level product ideas into clear requirements, specs, and acceptance criteria

• Build and harden production systems: retrieval, grounding, evaluation loops, latency/cost optimization, observability, error handling

• Collaborate closely on user flows, agent interactions, and overall experience

• Analyze usage data, agent performance metrics, and customer feedback to guide prioritization and improvements

• Own features from early prototype → live deployment → ongoing iteration and measurable impact

• Features ship quickly and measurably improve agent reliability, quality, or user outcomes

• Your specifications and code are trusted by the team and used by real customers

• Product and technical decisions are backed by data, metrics, and real-world feedback

• You take increasing ownership of entire product areas over time

• You’ve already built and shipped meaningful work before (side projects, open source, previous roles — it all counts)

You are a great fit if…

• You have strong software engineering skills and can ship clean, reliable code quickly

• You’ve worked hands-on with LLMs (prompting, tool calling, agents, retrieval) in real projects

• You enjoy turning ambiguous problems into concrete solutions

• You’re curious about data, metrics, and user behavior

• You thrive in fast-moving, low-process environments and default to ownership

• You care about building AI systems that actually work reliably for people

But not if…

• You prefer highly structured tickets and minimal ambiguity

• You want to stay purely in research/experimentation without production responsibilities
